The new Crown Collection brings to life historic scents, reimagined for the modern day perfume connoisseur. Using the Crown Perfumery Company archives, Clive Christian Perfume has researched some of the most infamous fragrances from this revolutionary British perfume house, all loved by the aristocracy, politicians, artists and actors of the Victorian era and beyond. They are brought back to life whilst still remaining true to the Clive Christian traditions of concentration, complexity and dedication to using the finest ingredients. A complex illusive scent inspired by Clive Christian’s foundations in the Crown Perfumery Company, Matsukita was first created in 1892 and has now been reimagined from the archives for a new era of perfume connoisseur. A unique fragrance, inspired by a Japanese princess who awed the Victorian court with her elegance, it captures a mystical grace from the finest ingredients in a potent concentration with a powerful royal heritage unique to the world of perfumery. Green bergamot meets sparkling pink pepper and spicy nutmeg for a fresh and invigorating top alongside bitter orange oil, clary sage oil, frankincense oil and black pepper. The heart is laced with floral and smoky notes of Chinese imperial jasmine and mate tea as well as hints of jasmine sambac, rose, magnolia, guaiac oil, cade oil and styrax. Rich amber and fir balsam absolute form a sensual and warm base to this Woody-Chypre parfum along with ambrofix, cedarwood oil, vetiver oil, patchouli oil, cypriol oil, georgywood, akigalawood, oakmoss, ambrettolide, sylkolide, serenolide, nirvanolide and cosmone.
