Liquide, a stand-alone limited-edition fragrance, originates from the 15th century Italian term ‘liquido’ which, in law and finance, defined goods that could ‘flow’ easily from one person to another. It is silver, a material and colour that slips effortlessly between your fingers and one of the seven sacred metals whose radiance transforms objects into treasures, into fetishes endowed with magical or talismanic properties, noble enough to be offered to the gods. It is said that silver has no smell but its energy has made the world go round and caused heads to spin since ancient times. It can make you sink or swim. Created by perfumer Anne-Sophie Behaghel, Liquide has top notes of cistus, cardamom, bergamot and black pepper that give way to a heart of floralozone, irotyl (a metallic iris), a violet leaf and folione henna accord and adoxal (a metallic note). A dry-down of three different cedarwoods, saffron, castoreum and suderol (a strong suede leather note) rounds out this Woody-Spicy unisex perfume of which there are only 925 individually numbered pieces available worldwide.
