A homage to Sarah Bernhardt, the beautiful and trailblazing French actress who became an icon of the late 19th and early twentieth centuries, Shine Bright Despite Everything is an intense parfum that encapsulates the resilience and fortitude of this glorious visionary who used her platform to challenge the age and gender boundaries of her time.
The parfum is a revived edition of an original Atkinsons bouquet created for Sarah, designed for the 21st century man or woman with a similar artistic and ambitious spirit. The fragrance opens with a flamboyant accord of turmeric seeds and incense Orpur, followed by an avant garde heart of Opulent Iris Orpur, Rosyfolia Orpur and warms notes of caramel and amber. The powerful scent is then rounded off with charismatic notes of Coumarine, vanilla and Akigalawood to leave an enchantingly soft and mesmerising trail.
Each fragrance is presented in an exquisite glass flacon, adorned with a delicate layer of gold-leaf, hand applied by Florentine artisans to make each bottle its own unique work of art. The bottle is decorated with a vibrantly coloured, reimagined design of the original lacquered medallion that adorned the Atkinsons face powder in the 1930s.
