This Jack Piccadilly ‘69 candle is hand-poured and hand-labelled in Great Britain and will burn for approximately 40 hours, giving off the distinctive Jack Piccadilly ‘69 fragrance. In May 1969, Richard E. Grant was 12 years old and flew from Swaziland to London on a trip with his parents. Emerging from Piccadilly Circus tube station, he was wide eyed in wonderment seeing the Eros statue and fountain, whose steps were crammed with patchouli-perfumed hippies. The combination of patchouli oil and petrol from all the traffic, proved an indelible inhalation! Earl Grey tea at Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly, with its Bergamot base and its well-worn leather chairs, proved to be a scent complimentary mix. Top notes of bergamot, ginger and green leaves give way to a heart of cypriol, mate and petrol. Base notes of patchouli, cedarwood, dry amber and leather rounds out this evocative fragrance.
