This year, NISHANE aims to honor its storytelling characteristic with the classical unities of drama (Aristotelian unities).
Unities represent a prescriptive theory of dramatic tragedy that was introduced in Italy in the 16th century and was influential
for three centuries. They are:
1. unity of action: a tragedy should have one principal action.
2. unity of time: the action in a tragedy should occur over a period of no more than 24 hours.
3. unity of place: a tragedy should exist in a single physical location.
The 4th unity is added to this collection to symbolize “various beliefs of humanity throughout the history.”

Each scent is dedicated to a specific unity: “action, “time”, “place” and “belief”.
These perfumes are imagined to be put in a TIME CAPSULE that will be found by other life forms or post humanity elements,
following the end of this world. Our TIME CAPSULE will help them apprehend how life was during mankind’s civilization, today.
NISHANE hereby underlines its global message that the humanity is a big family living (action) in the same world (place) in the
same century (time) no matter how different our beliefs are. Therefore “the unity” is all that is needed.
The name of the scents are in Esperanto –a constructed universal language intended to allow equal communication between
people of different native languages.
The names of the scents are indeed associated with action, place, time and belief respectively.
The names of the cities on the bottles symbolize the earth, associated with the 4 corners of earth: northernmost, southermost,
easternmost and westernmost cities in the world.
